EPDM Cold Shrink Tube
Our EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) Cold Shrink is specially formulated pre-expanded synthetic rubber shrink tube that does not require heat to shrink. It is supplied expanded over an easily removable plastic cylinder. The plastic cylinder has a cord that, when pulled, removes itself from the cold shrink, EPDM has great weather resistance and withstands Ozone and UV while also being resistant to temperatures ranging from -40° up to 130° Celsius, (or -40° to 266° Fahrenheit). For these reasons EPDM is often used to weatherproof doors, windows, roofs, and to make gaskets for electronic applications. EPDM is also very resistant to petroluem, abrasion and friction, often making it an ideal choice in or around machinery.
